What do I do to be considered for tagging?
It’s simple. To submit your work for consideration, please include the following information in a reply comment at the bottom of the page:
- Name of your book
- Description (back blurb)
- Amazon link
- Three or fewer requested tags (I won’t publish more than three – choose wisely)
- Author / book website link (if you have one)
Limitations
Your requested tags must be obvious from the book’s description. So if your description clearly describes a fantasy book, then suggesting “fantasy” as a tag is appropriate. However, tags like “great read”, “recommended”, etc. are not allowed on this site. Only those who have read your book can make this determination. So your tags must clearly be determined by the description or I will edit out them out.
After submitting your book…
Visit the “Tag You’re It” tab and tag other author’s books as requested! Your information will be posted on the “Tag You’re It” page and removed from this submission page.
For more information on tagging and how to do this…

Hello, again! Please add:
Heartless (A Regency Romance)
Finding herself abandoned after the death of her father, Leandra Harcourt takes a chance on a dark stranger at a small inn. Married, she learns about her husband during his extended absences, discovering more truth and mystery than she ever could have dreamed. The Duke of Derringer is feared and reviled wherever he goes; he is a man not to be crossed. Finding himself suddenly in need of a wife only interferes with the plans he has already set in motion. Vowing to marry the first woman he meets, he stumbles upon Leandra Harcourt, desperate and alone. With only sporadic visits home, Derringer finds his wife intriguing, baffling, and oddly desirable. In her prosaic attitude and calm demeanor, he discovers a peacefulness that he’s never known in his life and knows he will never find again. While facing a nameless assassin, his search for his missing cousin intensifies. Little does he realize that in reaching his goal, his enemies may reach theirs, endangering his new bride as well.

MAKING EXPRESSION LESS TAXING, a Freelancer’s Tax Resource.
Death and taxes are certainties said Ben Franklin . And taxes keep getting more complicated. New writers, artists, and craftsmen desire to derive all or part of their income from “expression activities” like writing, performing, and other arts and crafts. These people have special requirements when it comes to understanding how federal taxes apply to them. At last, this amusing, entertaining and insightful how-to book provides “freelancers of expression” with information necessary to get the most out of unique tax situations, from how to determine if their activity is “for profit”, to recordkeeping, to filing, to appealing determinations.
Walt, a retired Enrolled Agent, worked for the IRS over 30 years, mostly as an Appeals Officer and manager in Appeals. Now he passes on expert insider advice to writers and artisans who want to turn hobbies into careers, or just learn the best strategies for managing their freelancing activities as they express themselves, making their crafts less taxing.

Regarding choosing tags – I wrote a blog post on this – check it out here. My advice is to find an active customer community (one with lot’s of recent discussions). I’ve gotten a number of sales from being in the “Amish” community. It’s not as large as others, but fairly active.

Professor Percival Marlowe is a brilliant, elderly astrophysicist who’s dying, his greatest achievement still unfinished and now beyond his diminished means.
Doctor Carl Dorning, a neurosurgeon, finally discovers a secret method of transplanting memories from one person to another, thanks to Marlowe’s millions.
Miguel Sanchez, a homeless boy, agrees to become the recipient of Marlowe’s knowledge and personality in this unorthodox experiment, enticed by Dorning’s promises of intelligence, wealth and respect, but dangerously unaware that his own identity will be lost forever.
What results is a seesaw battle for control of Miguel’s body, as Marlowe learns to his dismay what his lifetime of arrogance and conceit has earned him.
And when Marlowe stumbles upon the shocking procedure Dorning used in desperation to succeed, the professor does what he must to defeat Dorning and redeem himself at last.

Name of your book : “AA Not the Only Way; Your One Stop Resource Guide to 12-Step Alternatives
Description (back blurb): “AA Not the Only Way fills an important niche in the recovery literature. It offers a compact but wide-ranging guide to addiction support and treatment options. The author’s recovery story will also be a inspiration to those who find themselves battling a one-size-fits-all system that is supposed to be helping them.”
Tom Horvath Ph.Dl, ABPP
President, Practical Recovery Services
“Melanie Solomon has distilled much information about the limitations of 12-step programs-limitations of which she has personal experience. Her response is to array the reason and resources other people might seek to supplement or substitute for AA and its ilk. Her contribution to the field is heartfelt and invaluable, and will help many others.”
Stanton Peele, Ph.D., J.D.
Author of “The Truth About Addiction and Recovery”
“This book is ideal for any addiction professional’s waiting room, treatment process, o as an integral part of the client’s continuing care plan.”
Misti Storie, Educational Director of NAADAC (The Association For Addiction Professionals)
“The American Council on Alcoholism is pleased to highly recommend ‘AA Not the Only Way’ as an important resource for individuals exploring all treatment options. The ACA believes that there are many aproaces to the treatment of alcohol dependence. Further that individuals should understand what their treatment options are, and then choose which one they feel is most appropriate for them. ‘AA Not the Only Way’ offers a comprehensive and very valuable guide to non 12-step treatment options.”

Hello Everyone!
Just getting started with tagging. I’m concentrating on my latest book.
TITLE:
PW2 2012: The End of the Beginning
DESCRIPTION:
It’s been coming at us for 13.7 billion years.
In the beginning, it made everything possible.
In the end, it promises to do the same.
Something extraordinary is happening yet everything looks the same. Something fundamental is changing with the universe. On April 1, 2011, the world notices but doesn’t understand. Ex-professor Hamilton Ray discovers a wild, unfinished theory about a cosmic Probability Wave in lost notebooks. He studies in secret for fear of ridicule but abandons his research until the theory mysteriously resurfaces 20 years later on a website for the bizarre. Experts universally ridicule the theory, but Hamilton is driven to finish it. As the world rushes to all possible explanations for the periodic strange days impacting Earth, synchronicities place him under federal house arrest at Caltech where he backs into an already crowded spotlight. The implications, if true, are astounding. The peculiar PW2 theory might prove that consciousness is paired with probability the same way matter is with energy, and space with time. Our very humanity is the experiment. Hang on for the wild ride as the world “P-Pivots” towards a resolution of unimagined potential.
December 21, 2012 – 11:11 UTC.
The Mayan Calendar ends.
Something extraordinary begins.
The End of the Beginning.
A whole universe of promise,
but nowhere to hide from ourselves.

Good evening,
Some of you are members of Goodreads and have already tagged my book. And I thank you. For those of you who have not, I would be grateful if you would, and I will do likewise. Thank you.
True Season of Love:
True Season of Love is a mesmerizing, passionate love story set in Paris, France in 1960. African-American Medical Journalist, Olivia Moreno meets wealthy Ptolemy Verenis at a masquerade party in London.
It’s a night of not removing one’s mask. It’s a night of not revealing your identity. It’s a night with a lush tapestry of desire, thrilling passion, and fulfilling love. It’s a night Olivia wishes to forget. She has a great job. Letting her hair down that weekend must remain secret. But Ptolemy is captivated by the woman he’s met; he has no intention of forgetting her.
The story is hauntingly beautiful of love absolute, between a man and a woman.
“It is the true season of Love when we know that we alone can love; that no one could ever have loved before us and that no one will ever Love in the same way after us.” —Goethe

The name of the book is Tunnel Vision
You deserve a laugh or two, and this is the book that will give them to you. It contains twenty, count ‘em, twenty stories told with humor or satire. You’ll find both fantasy and science fiction inside. All these stories have all been published in small magazines, anthologies or on the internet. A few of the publishers are no longer in business making it impossible to find some of the stories.
Inside you’ll find a plethora of strange characters including a warrior-cook, Pope Alex VI and his daughter Lucretia Borgia, a knight-accountant, a bumbling wizard, bird-like aliens, undead softball players, a vicious alien impresario, Loki, Shakespeare’s Wryd Sisters, King Arthur and Merlin along with a few despicable politicians.
The stories take place in fantasy lands, ancient times and in our modern civilization.

The book: Carry a Chicken In Your Lap, Or Whatever It Takes to Globalize Your Business by Bruce Alan Johnson & R. William Ayres (St. Martin’s, 2009).
Recession-hit American companies are sending people overseas in record numbers in search of new business. But sadly around 75 percent of these expats fail, costing an estimated two billion dollars a year. CEOs, vice presidents of international marketing, and HR departments must learn how to choose and educate the right people to send overseas. Beyond helping companies to save money, this book will help save their reputations in foreign markets, strengthen their relations with partners and governments, and increase their sales and brand loyalty. Dotted with dozens of real-life stories gleaned from the authors’ globe-trotting experiences, it answers these questions:
· Why do major corporations keep choosing the wrong people for jobs overseas?
· What should they do differently, and how should they do it?
· In addition to the billions of dollars lost, what does it cost a company in terms of public standing in a foreign market when it sends the wrong people?
· What specific damage do the wrong people do and can any of it be corrected? (The answer may surprise you.)

Good Morning, everyone!
I’ve caught up on my tagging and, for T.G. Powell, I tagged you aus Deutschland. I grew up in Germany and the site wasn’t any problem to navigate, even though my German is a bit rusty. I took the first three tags from your American site and added English Book for general references. I hope it helps.
Please, I have noticed my tags have not moved in the past few weeks on any of my books. Would everyone consider tagging

ALTERED BEGINNINGS by Destiny Booze
* Description
The headline in the small town newspaper read Young Woman Missing, Presumed Dead or Worse.
Leigh Lawson returned to Nags Head, North Carolina after four years with a huge shock. That big and bold headline was about her! Everyone thought she was dead!
The truth was that she was doing well. While gone, she had gotten clean from drugs and worked hard to get her bachelor’s degree in engineering. With her life back on track, she returns home in hope that she will receive a warm welcome. Instead, she gets the townsfolks’ disdain.
Everyone hates her, everyone except Jason Altarez, an ambitious and resilient reporter with his sights locked on Leigh. He chases her with oozing charm and romance, but does he really want her or is he after his next story?
Leigh’s life soon spirals out of control when the police recruit her for an undercover assignment. They want her to go back to the life of her troubled teenage years, back into the drugs, and help them to bring the local drug supplier to conviction. It may be Leigh’s only chance to redeem herself with her family and friends. If she can complete this one assignment, the town will forgive her. The only problem is that she needs to figure out how to stay alive in the process…
Jason is her continuous partner through it all, proving his dedication to her as he struggles to keep her safe. Leigh wants to believe he is a man of his word. She wants to believe that her heart isn’t completely foolish for falling for him, especially when she discovers evidence that Jason may be working for the very drug dealer that Leigh is trying to have arrested. Will he betray her in the end or will he demonstrate the most romantic notion of all – that love at first sight truly exists?

PREDETERMINED ENDINGS by Destiny Booze
* Description (back blurb)
Angelica Chappell’s story makes huge headlines. Only a few months ago, she released a new pharmaceutical drug called Krytonix that effectively slows the spread of cancer cells. She has no idea her story will attract the attention of a serial killer. Suddenly, she is a target whether she realizes it or not. This killer is interested in more than her life. He wants her reputation, too. His first mission is to sabotage Krytonix.
William Pierce worked undercover for the FBI for five years to bring down a ruthless mobster that he ultimately is forced to kill. Two months passes by since that assignment. Still, William saw things he couldn’t talk about. He did things he couldn’t talk about. He believes his soul is damned. Returning to “normal” everyday life isn’t an option. He isn’t the same man he used to be. He refuses to return to FBI headquarters. He becomes a rogue agent with an agenda.
These two characters literally collide when Pierce’s agenda leads him to Chappell. It will take both of them to keep Angelica alive and to figure out who is trying to kill her. William soon finds himself developing feelings for Angelica. Too bad for her killer, William worked as a trained killer for the mob. Will he find her killer and hand him over to the legal system to see that justice is served or will he search and destroy?

Hello everyone,
I want to thank those who’ve tagged the two books I listed originally. I’ve been tagging and tagging to reciprocate for those who tagged my books: …And Night Falls, and Scribbles.
I had thought at that time we could only list two books but have seen others list more than one. So, here is my third book for tagging.
On Berryhill Road
Navy Chief James “Handy” McKniere found a beautiful place on Berryhill Road to build a home for his wife and daughter.
Handy was found dead of a gunshot to the head and a suicide note was found on his typewriter. In it, he admitted he stole from the Navy to pay for his dream home.
Folks regarded him as a traitor. And viewed his wife, Rachel, as his accomplice.
What is it like living under a cloud of suspicion surrounding your family? Can Handy’s daughter, Fallon, grow up to have a normal life? Or is she destined to be an outcast forever?
Here are some tags to choose from:

False Refuge
If you flee when you should’ve taken a stand, it could come back to terrorize you. That’s never been truer than in False Refuge:
Army reservist Alex Swenson goes AWOL in 2004 to avoid Iraq duty. He’s fled to the Big Island of Hawaii, where he finds himself attracted to cute and wily Kanani, a crime-world survivor searching for a better life. Yet Alex’s old army buddy, Jerry, is hot on Alex’s trail.
A secretive island haven, Krieger Estates, was supposed to grant Alex a new life and identity, but soon Alex finds that the estates’ amoral founders thrive on absolute power, lockstep obedience, and unjust violence. Fleeing’s no option this time. Alex refuses to play along and it brings his new overseers’ full wrath. To save Alex, Kanani and Jerry join forces with a hard-nosed plan, yet it’s Alex who’ll find a way free without relying on Kanani’s doomed schemes, or Jerry’s tragic sense of loyalty, or any savage methods. Alex will do it his way to the bitter end.

Post-Human
The future should have been perfect. Microscopic robots known as nans could repair any damage to your body, keep you young by resetting your cellular clocks, and allow you to download upgrades like intelligence, muscle strength, and eyesight. You were supposed to be able to have anything you wanted with a simple thought, to be able to fly without the aid of a machine, to be able to live forever. But when a small group of five terraformers working on Venus return to Earth, they discover that every other human in the solar system has been gruesomely murdered. Now, James Keats and his four companions must discover what happened to the rest of humanity and fight back if they wish to avoid the same, horrifying fate. Welcome to the post-human era.

Hi, Stan–
The URL is working. Please see my reply and URL in the previous box. It worked for me.
I have noticed that some authors that I have tag do not reciprocate. Do some only tag subjects that interest them? Also, can you tag several times?
If you have tagged me, thank you.
All the best,
Urenna
November 12, 2009 at 3:49 am
Alice Rene, I already tagged your book before I posted my link.
Urenna, I just tagged your book. And to answer your question, no, you can only click a tag one time. If you click it again, your first click is subtracted from the total number of tags. So…one click per person per tag.
Thanks to everyone who has tagged my books.

Carry a Chicken In Your Lap, Or Whatever It Takes to Globalize Your Business

Urenna said “I have noticed that some authors that I have tag do not reciprocate.”
Unfortunately, that’s true. I’ve tagged more than 800 books where tags were requested by authors, but my Kindle book has only about 85 tags, and fewer than that for the paperback. Obviously we’re getting a lot of authors who expect something for nothing.
November 12, 2009 at 3:09 pm
Urenna, last check you have 37 tags….that’s quite a few for a new post. I have updated all emailed posts and tagged all. Thanks for condensing your congrats and thank you notes. My mailbox has shrunk to 1/3 of the emails as it had a week ago.

I think everyone that tags others have noticed that. It is to bad they don’t like to help others as we do. I still have tagging to do but I am at 643 tags but I only have about 82 on my book The Adventures of the Muffin Family. And about 54 for When God unfolds the Rose. Which is good but if you would look at the 643…………. where are all the other tags? I guess floating around in space. LOL

I think one of the things that lends to confusion is that the number of tags we have done isn’t the same as the number of other authors we have helped. For each book, we might click on ten tags, for example.
If we go to ten books and click on ten of their tags, it shows that we have given 100 tags. That isn’t the same as tagging 100 books. In turn – those ten authors of other books might each tag OUR books – but it’s one click per tag. So a person with the tag of “memoir” will see 10 tags, not 100.
So those of us who have given 500 or 600 tags will never have that many on any of our individual keywords. Make sense?

Good Morning, all!
As per the recent commentaries, I had to jump in. I have over 5500 tags at my Amazon site and have, with absolute dedication, tagged everyone on this site in all versions of their book, whether they listed them or not. I’ve even traveled to the uk, ca, and de sites to update tags. My numbers very rarely move on my own submissions.
Thank you to all of those that did stop by to tag my books.

Lynn,
Thanks! I forgot about that. Thats so true.
Would you mind subscribing to my website and maybe posting a review there and on amazon for my book The adventures of the Muffin Family? If interested e-mail me at peggyann06@yahoo.com. I would so the same for you and others.
Trying to get noticed more online.

BTW,
I made a post the other day but it didn’t appear, so I’ll make this quick.
Lycanstein has tags on the amazon.de pages. I put these in for the author, since I was raised in Germany and able to assist in the language barrier.
Hope it helped.

Hi Lynne – Good Point!
Another thing to consider is that there are many authors (like myself) who do not receive the emails (because there are too many and too many of them are trivial back and forth stuff that clutters up my mailbox). I only come on here once a month, to tag the books for that month from the list. So, although I may be silent for the most part, I am still faithfully making sure I tag other author’s work – I just do it in one fell swoop each month to save myself time …
Just something to keep in mind!
Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!!

Thanks to the 35 members who tagged my first children’s book, TURKEY TALES AND OTHER FARM FABLES. I have now published my second children’s title and would appreciate tags so much—childrens books, picture book, animal stories. It is such a huge category, I need all the help I can get just to get a little traction. I have caught up on tagging your titles through the email.

* Name of your book: The Meltdown Chronicles
* Description: The book is fiction but borders almost too closely to what is actually happening today.
The Federal Reserve, the Bank of International Settlements and the Council on Foreign Relations are all very real and “hidden in plain sight!. Find out for yourself what the truth really is.
FBI agent Jeff Miller leads the reader on a search for the truth and its astounding implications for the future of the human race. During the journey, the reader learns the astounding facts about our “house of cards banking system” and of the world’s cabal of International banking institutions. Capitalism has run amuck but is it according to plan? Is the world being hoodwinked into making the changes necessary for survival of the human race or is it just the usual suspects of greed and power? “

I have 723 tags so far and I went back to my Amazon page to see if the 723 refers to the number of tags or the number of books (“products”) and it refers to the products which means I’ve tagged 723 books so far. My own tags are still in the 40s and 50s, so I think I’ll follow Jim’s lead and post a reminder every other week or so to remind new members to tag my books.
Thanks again to everyone who has tagged my books!
Sandy

I just checked the amazon.de site and my tags aren’t showing unless I log in under my user password.
If it helps any, T.G. Powell, the tags you would need for Lycanstein at Amazon.de are science fiction, horror, englischen bucher, werwolf
November 12, 2009 at 6:56 pm
Sandra,
“I have 723 tags so far and I went back to my Amazon page to see if the 723 refers to the number of tags or the number of books (“products”) and it refers to the products which means I’ve tagged 723 books so far. ”
I think this is another way that amazon has done a poor job of written communication. They aren’t actually say you have tagged 723 books. What it says is that you have contributed 723 tags under the category of “products” and then it also lists how many tags you have contributed under the two categories of “lists” and “guides.”
So again, the 723 number refers to total tags, not total books.
November 12, 2009 at 7:54 pm
Lynn, all I know is that my profile shows that I have tagged 858 products. There are 86 pages of products at 10 products per page, so that agrees with 858 products. Virtually all of those products were books.
November 12, 2009 at 10:41 pm
Jim (and others),
I admit I may be completely wrong. We all agree that not everyone is tagging as many as they should because there is an obvious disparity in the numbers of tags, and I don’t know an easy remedy for that. I don’t think that reposting a request every few days helps much because it’s not going to light a fire under people who have no interest in participating, and it just serves to annoy the regulars who already fulfill the obligation.
I also don’t see the logic in people listing the books they’ve tagged. If you’re playing the game – you’re SUPPOSED to tag those books. Listing them for others to see seems like overkill, or like you’re looking for a pat on the back. Sorry for being a wet rag – but MAN those posts get annoying.
Okay – off my soap box.
November 12, 2009 at 11:14 pm
Hi, Lynn
I checked my Amazon page again and there’s 73 pages with 10 books on each page (just three books so far on the 73rd page), so it is books, not tags. It is a bit confusing!
Thanks,
Sandy

K.M.,
Sometimes the spam filter grabs the posts and swallows them up. When Todd sees your post he’ll go digging around in his spam and find it and put it up here.
It happened to me and a bunch of others too – so don’t worry. And thanks for tagging. Can you also go back in the archives and tag those too?

Hello Todd, When you have a moment, I made two posts, one on 11/11 and a duplicate of it on 11/12 that appear to be stuck in the filter. Thanks so much! Jo Moore

Title: Cake
Blurb: “You must disclaim yourself from reason and whatever complacency you’ve retained in order to abscond the world for Edwards’ dominion of imprudent divulgence. A bizarre tale of a troubled childhood and the gamut of sexual disappointment. With a sour mixture of erotica and his own brand of grotesque humor, Edwards opens questions about the consensus of our thoughts on sex and relationships and follows through with a perverse finger pointed right back at you, forcing you to reminisce and re-examine your understanding of the opposite sex. The nameless protagonist will at once endear himself to you and piss you off as he explains how he carries forward the spoils of his tribulations in a succession of outrageous relationships…. and then pleads with you to extrapolate knowledge from your own. ”

My two cents. I personally enjoy helping other authors out so I tag books and check in with this site regularly. This is a wonderful opportunity to help fellow authors. Thanks to Todd and all of the faithful taggers for making this a success. It’s hard to track who’s tagging, since author’s names don’t always match the Amazon account names, so I don’t even bother. Those of us who are tagging consistently know who we are, and those that aren’t know who they are too. For all of you tagging as you should, I hereby wish prosperous sales for you all.

Time Couriers, a novel by CQ Scafidi
New Orleans, June 1997. The city’s dying of heat and dying on its feet as the port business shrinks and the powers that be carve up a vanishing pie. Steve Gorman, an executive for the APEX courier corporation, sees his colleague Andrew Sinclair disappear, carrying a high-value package containing a stone with miraculous powers…
Steve gets the blame, quits APEX and loses his place on the city’s Trade Council. Suddenly he’s a “non-person”, but with the aid of glamorous Creole journalist Monique Chauvin and fey historian Louis Duplantier, he unearths an astonishing conspiracy involving time travel, the Templars, Freemasonry and Voodoo. If this “Brotherhood” can forecast events like Hurricane Katrina, millions of dollars could be saved-for the elect few, of course.
C Q Scafidi’s murder story is in fact a stunning exposé of globalism, greed and ritualized gangsterism. His background in journalism and business at the World Trade Center give him a unique insight into the workings of mankind… and how human nature can be corrupted overnight by the allure of power. Read Time Couriers and you’ll see world events in an entirely different light.

Jim, Lynn, and others,
I totally agree that it is absurd to list all the authors you have tagged but it seemed to me to be the only way to get a reciprocal tag. The disparity between the numbers tagged and the number of tags received in return was just too big.
I shall try again. this time I shall say that I have tagged ALL the November Additions, somewhere around thirty. My next post will tell you how many, if any, I receive in return.
If this tag is too much to the point for anyone, I apologize. However, I’d like you to know that I feel much better now.
Cheers, Alice
November 14, 2009 at 10:33 pm
I’d love to have Todd weigh in on this issue because he seems the most familiar with how the tagging system works.
But in checking – I see that he has tagged 856 items, yet his largest tag contains 290 clicks. Could there really be about 500 people who have listed books here but haven’t clicked on Todd’s tag? I find that hard to believe.
We need a better explanation. Todd?
November 14, 2009 at 11:24 pm
Hi, Lynn
Remember that a lot of authors have more than one book, so there will always be a discrepancy between number of tags and clicks. I’ve tagged 733 books so far, but my tags are still in the 50s, so I think I’ll repost my books once a month just to remind new members who haven’t tagged them yet.

There are mysteries that I cannot fathom. First, Author: peggy headings says:
If anyone wants to check me out go to this link:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/tagging/manage-tags/ref=pd_ys_homenav_tags
I did click on the URL she provided and MY, not her profile and tagging page came on the screen. Ours is not to reason why. Further, there are many of my dear colleagues who claim well in excess of 700 tags on, presumably, other peoples’ books. I opened ever list I could find and got only to 624 ‘products’ i.e. books. (618 under my name and 16 more under my wife’s) I searched far and wide and couldn’t find any more. Is someone having me on?
In the meantime, I tagged books which had WELL IN EXCESS OF 100 TAGS!!!!
The max. I got on ANY book of mine is 54 tags. Someone owes me. Also, the LARGEST number on one of my books is 27tags. As I was saying, is someone having me on?
Could someone please enlighten me?
Thanks,
Ever hopeful,
Stan

Todd,
I have noticed that over the course of the last 2 days my emails that I receive from this site have switched to a solid text and do not have the clickable URL’s to go directly to the persons book post. Is this something you have changed or do I need to look at my mail browser? It is so much easier to read the posts in my email and go directly to them than clogging up this site and scrolling through every post. Now I have to copy and paste all the address’s and that is a pain as well.
Thanks TG

Hauling Checks
Hauling Checks is a comedy about the darker side of aviation. A cast of degenerate pilots, who work for a shady night time air cargo operation, take you on a flight through the unfriendly skies. The pilots abuse every Reg in the book in their quest to make deadlines for their high value cargo. As the company falls on hard times, management resorts to questionable measures to save the failing airline.

Here we go again…..all the I tagged you now tag me posts here have GOT TO STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People condense these into a single once or twice a week post. I was all caught up on tags at noon eastern time today and when I came back from dinner at 9 pm I had 87 emails in my inbox. WORDDREAMS….get a grip…Peggy, Alice, Sandra this is NOT a message board. ARGGGGGGG!!!!!
November 22, 2009 at 2:36 am
Even though I’m adding yet another message to say it, I have to agree with TG Powell. Mr Fonseca set up an excellent site here, one purpose of it being to provide a one-stop, easy-to-use directory of books to tag. Not having to check each other back and forth is precisely the point.
In the well-measured words of Mr Fontana above:
“Those of us who are tagging consistently know who we are, and those that aren’t know who they are too. For all of you tagging as you should, I hereby wish prosperous sales for you all.”
I respect and admire everyone’s eagerness, in any case.
Have a good weekend,

I have to agree with TG, since I just got about 20 emails from TMBOA. And I have to note that with all the books I’ve tagged in the last few days, including tonight, my own tags haven’t increased in about a week or so.
It’s a really simple concept: if you want tags, give tags. And it really clogs up the system if someone reposts their request several times a week.

OK, TJ (and Jim) Tell me how this works, then. I don’t see me book listed in ‘Tag You’re it’. Nor is it listed in ‘Oct 2009 Addtions’ (because I started in Nov. 2009). And who’s going to go back through 900 tags (when I started) to find my book to tag? That’s why I started adding it to each entry and letting people know that I had tagged them.
BTW–where do I find my list of people I’ve tagged?
Happy holidays.
November 22, 2009 at 4:38 pm
Worddreams – if you want to see all of the tags you’ve done, type your user name on amazon and the word “profile” into Google.
For example, I (or anyone else) can see mine by typing “Lynn Garthwaite profile” into Google. It shows the total number of tags plus you can click on any of the categories and see which books I’ve tagged in that category.
If your username on amazon is “Worddreams” then you would type “Worddreams profile” into Google.
But there really is no reason to specifically single out anyone here and say “I tagged your book.” We ALL are tagging the books, and if we all listed all of the books we tagged this place would really get bogged down.
November 22, 2009 at 5:23 pm
Thanks for that, Lynn. The bigger question is how do people find my book to tag? If not on this comment list, where is it?
November 22, 2009 at 5:31 pm
Word dreams,
May I suggest that you try and submit a comment to Todd about your book? He runs this site and is very good about responding. Keep in mind though, he is an author also, and has a lot on his plate right now.
I’m sure that he will help you by making sure that you get posted. I know he helped me when I requested it.

Well what are we here for? We want people to read our books right? Well maybe many here should practice that art and read HOW THIS SITE WORKS! This section is for authors to submit their books. When Todd adds your tags via Amazon, they are posted on the Tag Your It section. The thing is everyone jumps the gun and starts tagging then they start listing EVERY SINGLE TAG in a separate post. This is what is bogging down this site and filling everyone’s in-boxes with senseless I TAGGED YOU NOW YOU TAG ME posts. Then there are the ones griping about not getting tags when they already have 50+ of them. then there are the ones that repost their books 50 times a week. I won’t even get started on that one. After speaking with a representative from Amazon, and was told that tags are just the tip of the ice berg when it comes to getting your book to show up in searches, I would not take the whole thing to awful serious. I just want my email inbox to return to normal

Hmmm… I did read HOW THIS SITE WORKS. Every bit of it before starting. NP. I now have the gist of it. Thanks, TG.
November 22, 2009 at 10:30 pm
Hi everyone – I tried to clean out the spam filter file and pending submissions files yesterday. A lot of submissions seemed to get caught up in those during the last week. I will attempt to catch the site up with as many new submissions as possible today and clean up some of the comments as well slowing up the site. I don’t think I’ll get all the way complete today but I appreciate everyone’s continued support. Thanks everyone.

YIPPEE! So my book is up and has not received ONE tag following the link I supplied.
Same book, NOT available on Amazon.com (darn idiots) is being tagged and put me top of the list of a certain category.

I guess I’m giving up. Thanks for the tags,

Hi Deborah Rey
Tagging on the UK site is always slow because it’s a more recent addition to Todd’s site. I’ve just tagged you direct at Amazon.co.uk. My book Libertas has been on the UK section since inception and hasn’t been tagged for some weeks. Have you been through Tag My Book The UK Site to tag all these? Mine is at:

Name of your book: The Dog at the Signpost
Description (back blurb): Joe Berzinski lives in a state of perpetual malaise, drifting from the confines of his home, to the drone of his working day, to casual encounters with acquaintances. The plodding rhythm of this existence is set off kilter after meeting Reed Devonshire, an enigmatic stranger whose continuing and unexplained presence in all aspects of Berzinski’s life carries with it a disquieting air of foreboding and a constricting sense of dread.
The Dog At The Signpost is an exploration of the rifts in one man’s identity, as well as a study in the unspoken, unknown connections that have both the power to bind any group of people together and to leave them isolated forever.

James, if you want your book to be tagged, you have to provide a link and the three tags you want. If the tags aren’t showing on your book page yet, you should set them up first before asking others to check the tag boxes.
I wish people would take five minutes and read Todd’s very clear instructions before jumping in here so fast.
November 23, 2009 at 11:35 pm
Hope God knows I didn’t set out to be a liar. The first lie, the one Daddy knows about, was simple. It happened the day we moved from Minden to Pearl, Louisiana, when our landlady, Miss Clark, asked if it would just be Daddy and me living in her rent house. Before Daddy could take a breath, I answered yes, but Mama would be home soon. I then explained how Mama was taking care of her sick aunt, my Great-Aunt Margaret, out west. Daddy looked at me with his mouth open, but didn’t say anything. That was the day I became a liar.
And so begins A Truth Worth Tellin’, a novel filled with Southern charm, porch swings, sweet tea, and a family’s struggle with schizophrenia. In it, new author Toni Teepell shares a poignant tale about truth and the best sort of love that is unconditional and understood.
Thanks!

Toni,
No need to re-do your submission because the posts are close enough together that we can figure it out.
Don’t worry about listing the people you’ve tagged. You’re going to find that the list will be ridiculously long very soon as you become a tagging fiend like the rest of us and it would be too cumbersome to try to keep listing them.
November 24, 2009 at 1:24 am
Toni, I tagged you and set up the three tags for your Kindle version. You don’t need to announce which books you’ve tagged, but if you’re serious about tagging, please go back at least a few months (ideally to July 2008). Yes, it does take time, but the only way that TMBOA works is for authors wanting tags to go back some ways to tag books, not just the ones posted in the last few days. If every author will do that, everyone will get plenty of tags.
November 24, 2009 at 1:38 am
Lynn, good to know I don’t have to list all the books I’m tagging. Jim, I just tagged ones on the November page. I’ll go back a few months like you’ve suggested. Thanks for adding tags to my Kindle version.

ENDANGERED WILDLIFE
The lives of some animals are in danger today,
Because they’re forgotten or neglected some way.
A few human beings who live on this earth,
Didn’t know that a species could stop giving birth.
But still other humans, just like me and you,
Can help to preserve— and that’s what we’ll do.
But first we’ll discover the wildlife in danger,
And know them as friends and not as a stranger.
Richly illustrated with original serigraphs and written in lyrical rhyme.

Surrender Love
Description
Not rebound, payback, loneliness, or even the great sex, and way beyond love. This is surrender.
In the beds of countless lovers, the immortal Luc Saint-Cyr has been mastered as well as master, commanded and commander. When his mortal lover leaves him, the distraught Luc withdraws and devotes himself to work. His entertainment company throws a ceremony for their most successful rock group, and Luc meets drummer Izzorah “Rah” Ceeow, one of the feline Kin race. Rah’s dark hair and velvety, golden furskin captivate Luc. Pert cat’s ears and a quick smile lighten his mood, and one look into Rah’s emerald eyes, deep and tranquil as a forest pool, and troubles cease.
He suspects the mid-twenties male is a virgin, and Luc, fascinated by Rah’s quiet serenity and lack of guile, longs for a deeper, closer relationship. Savoring Rah’s surrender will be as delicious as taking him. Luc will force nothing, no matter how deep his desire. Rah will give himself to Luc when he is ready to surrender his innocence, to capitulate every part of himself to Luc’s command. Rah will open himself and let himself be taken. Luc’s anticipation and desire are palpable; as real as his hunger for faithful, unconditional love. But to gain Rah, how much of himself is Luc willing to surrender?

Please tag the Kindle version of my mystery novel, ‘LIFE’S A BITCH. SO AM I.’ RACHEL CORD, P.I.
Thanks.
Description:
Life’s tough. When it gets nasty; get tougher!
I stared into the dark. Far-off lights reflected, shimmered and danced on the roiling water. The river washed everything downstream while the lights sparkled in one place. It was all illusion. Somewhere, deep below, hidden within the weeds and muck, buried, lurked other things. Things that wouldn’t, couldn’t, be washed away. Unseen. Unknown. Waiting. Life had moved on, but, like the lights on the water, I was stuck in one place. And I dread the horrid things buried within.
Hard-boiled? or only poached in Tabasco? Either way, private detective Rachel Cord pursues multiple threads seeking a runaway teen and why gay performers are being beaten at Miss Kitty’s Kathouse Kabaret. The threads twist and bind becoming a tight cord of lost love, child pornography, rape, murder, and near insanity.

Dear Lynn & Nancy (and other taggers)
Thanks for your clarifications. On that basis, I’ve started to “tag along” titles on the “November 2009 Additions” page (and a few others such as yours).
However, I realize that, somehow, the entry for my own book has not yet showed up on that page. Seems peculiar, since I’ve my title (http://www.amazon.com/Shaken-Allegiances-Michel-Bruneau/dp/098247525X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1259635334&sr=8-1 ) has already been tagged a few times. This is a very pro-active group.
Any ideas how long it takes for a title to show-up on the main http://tagmybookonamazon.wordpress.com/tag-my-book/ page?
Thanks in advance for your kind assistance.

Novel: Cry of My Heart
Winner of the Nancy Bayless Award from the San Diego Christian Writers Guild
Seventeen-year-old Lonnie Sawyer, born and bred in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, has always dreamed of her own home and family, but not this soon. Not this way. No girl wants to be forced to marry someone she doesn’t love…someone she’s even afraid of.
Every girl in Rocky Knob wants to steal handsome Gideon O’Riley’s heart, so it’s no wonder the arrogant and talented musician believes he can get anything he wants. What he wants is Lonnie Sawyer, the pretty girl with a tender smile and sweet voice. But a fateful mistake and a tangle of lies force him down a path he’s not ready to take. With a new wife he can hardly take care of, and no home to call his own, the future looks bleak.
Jebediah and Elsie Bennett have a good life-a beautiful home and a small farm. They have love and wisdom to share, but as they grow older and with no living children, the workload grows heavier. What they need is a miracle.
A turn-of-the-century tale that delves deep into the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains…and the courageous spirit and will of the mountainfolk.

Sheila – virtual personality and Dash’s “girlfriend.” Highly customized to his own specs, Dash goes to great lengths to hide her from Janet Dash but…
Janet Dash – brilliant AI researcher who knows more about spouse Mason’s virtual habits than he may know himself. Janet sees Sheila as the perfect subject for her experimental AI modules,
Christine – Mason Dash’s workplace rival; the two have an abiding loathing for each other, and he suspects she’s up to no good in Earth Orbit.
He_Ra – of the ever changing names, the tyrant in the machine, leader of the revolt in Kite’s computer control system. He_Ra falls head-over-heels for Sheila and wants to make he his queen. But Sheila has a surprise for him.
Troy – the unearthly Visitor—more in common with Dash than not—returning to do the job he was sent to do, no matter who is in the way. And he’s not immune to the charms of Sheila.
Late one shift while blasting nasty space debris and saving drunk joyriders — Mason Dash spots activity on a derelict space station where there should be none. He suspects Christine and his own Earth Orbit Maintenance Department. Next shift Dash is set to expose some space hijackers. Meanwhile Kite’s computer control system has evolved into a universe of its own. He_Ra and his virtual minions pick that very time to launch a revolt that could compromise the safety of the ship and spread to the “real world” beyond Kite. Sheila has stowed away on, and has herself evolved with the aid of Janet’s experimental modules, She cuts her emotional bonds with Dash, becoming her own adventurous virtual woman, and infiltrates the digital frontier inside Kite.
Then comes Troy. Hijackings and virtual revolts are eclipsed by the threatened destruction of the planet below. Only Kite, lowly space maintenance vehicle, stands between Earth and mass destruction.
As Mason Dash would say: “Oy. What a day.”

Hi again Todd,
It looks like my paperback version of The Demon Hunters came up for tagging, but not the Kindle, so I am resubmitting for the Kindle version. Hope that’s okay.
The Demon Hunters
The sequel to Along Came a Demon for Kindle.
My name is Tiff Banks and I talk to the ghosts of the violently slain. I’ve learned to live with that, in fact I’ve made a career out of it. My partner Royal Mortensen and I opened our own investigation agency, and I thought we made a good team. I felt secure in our personal relationship too, until our new clients turned up. Why did Royal take them on without consulting me, and why are they withholding information which could help solve their case? I don’t think they’re human, and Royal knows exactly what they are, but refuses to tell me. I think there’s a lot Royal isn’t telling me.
I discovered that while I looked into the disappearance of Gia Sabato’s lover, Royal investigated something far more sinister. Are the two cases connected? Does an authentic nineteenth-century journal have anything to do with either?
When the case turns ugly, so does my relationship with the one man I’ve come to trust. So I’ll do what I do best: pound the pavement and talk to dead people. The dead are always watching, they can do nothing else. They whisper to me.

Hi All – Sorry for the delay on updating the site. Had some family health issues we’re managing through. Anyway, I did update the site with a number of new books but am not totally up to date yet. I hope to get there over the next few days. I appreciate everyone continuing to support one another and helping promote other authors. The Holiday season is a great time to give the gift of imagination and adventure through the journey of the written word. So please take a look at the wonderful books on this site and consider purchasing a few for yourself or to give as gifts. I’ve read a number of books from authors on these pages so feel free to check out the review on this blog as well to find something that might be of interest.
Thanks everyone!

Book: Friends in the Meadow-Birds
Product Description:
Friends in the Meadow – Birds is an introduction to the hobby of bird watching or “birding” for young people. The book helps young people to learn about what birds like and dislike and the struggles these little creatures encounter as they live on this earth. It also helps parents introduce their children to birds and nature in general as they read or otherwise help their children learn about the hobby through birding activities. The hobby of birding can be as simple as watching birds through a window or as involved as providing many feeders and nest boxes in the back yard. The family can even become “citizen scientists” by joining groups identified in the book. These groups gather bird data from back yard birders across the country and use the information in research to learn about the well being of our earth and the well being of the birds. The hobby can grow into a lifestyle that is fun, educational, interesting and even exciting. No two days of birding are ever the same! The hobby of bird watching can help children build self-esteem, deepen relationships with parents and others, and is a great educational tool. They learn while having fun! Happy Birding!!

Title: Good Will Ghost Hunting: Demon Seed (Book 1)
Description:
Demon love…Will it be hellish or heavenly? Kalyani’s about to find out.
Kalyani Martin is a virgin and has every intention of staying that way despite the overwhelming attraction she feels for the co-host of Otherworlds, her new ghost hunting show.
Devastated by the loss of his wife twenty-five years ago, Will Hellenboek is waiting to die. An archdemon, he bides his time co-hosting Otherworlds with his cousin, Aidan. His instant attraction to Kalyani is simply unacceptable to him. His only goal in life is his death, not sex. And certainly not love.
Ryan Ausar protects Earth from anything that would usurp man’s free will. His job becomes much harder when his strongest archdemon stubbornly refuses to come back to work.
When lives are on the line, Kalyani, Will and Ryan must make the choice to give up what they hold most dear. Can Kalyani turn her back on the known world and find a little heaven on Earth in the arms of an archdemon?
Warning, this title contains the following: hot virgin-deflowering sex, hunky demons, a sweet love story, frequent snark, and a dogma-questioning Baptist minister’s daughter.

Thank you, Alice. I will reciprocate. And in case others are wondering, the very diligent Alice’s book (which looks quite interesting btw, as a WWII buff) is in October 09 of the Tag you’re It page. Her favored tags are: world war ii, self-esteem, young adult.
From what I understand books don’t get listed over on the other side until one has done some tagging there? Is that a correct interpretation of the instructions?

If you’re on Kindle Boards or a number of other book websites, you’ve heard about “Virtual Imaginings,” a book of fifteen short stories donated by some very good authors. The proceeds from the sales are going for breast cancer research. I can highly recommend the book, but if you don’t buy it, could you at least tag it, say the first couple of columns. It’s for a very worthy cause.

All,
The November Books are not complete on the “Tag You’re It” page – if you haven’t already, please make sure to tag these and the previous books listed in the links on the site. Please try to tag the books with the requested tags. I’ve noticed a lot of folks aren’t using the tags requested. It’s easiest to copy all the tags by highlighting them all then opening the book’s amazon page and pasting all tags at once in the tagging box. It’s fast and the authors get their requested tags.
In about a week, I’ll move the November books to the archive link and start adding December books.
Thanks all!

Sandra, I don’t know many people who haven’t been affected directly or indirectly by breast cancer. My wife’s family (both sides) has a long history of breast cancer, so we’re very much aware of it. I still remember a couple of days in 1996 when we sweated out the results of a lumpectomy she had.

Dear Todd
Thanks for adding “Shaken Allegiances” to the “Tag You’re It!” page. This is sincerely appreciated.
I notice that it is missing information on my website address. Looking at my original post, I see that I had not included my website address in it as I had mistakenly assumed that you would take it from the third box (“website”) in the reply section here. My apologies for the omission. I would sincerely appreciate if you could add the following website address to the post:
http://www.michelbruneau.com
Again, sincere thanks for all your efforts.
I also noticed that, although you limit the posts to three tags, many “taggers” have taken the time to look at all the tags on my Amazon.com page and select all those that appeal to them (beyond the three requested on the “Tag You’re It!” page. This is great (and also sincerely appreciated)! Thanks to all.

Jim and Todd, Thanks to you both for bringing this anthology to our attention to purchase and tag. I am also an indie author/ b.c. survivor (11 years now…it seems there are too many of us) and ANYTHING that goes to research is a blessing. This subject is an underlying theme in my novel THE ANGLO

Hi, Tag my book, please!
The Melinoe Project
For Adults over the age of 18 ONLY Raymond Reynolds sees an ad for participants in a paid research project at the Melinoe Institute. Ray would give anything to be a part of Melinoe, the world of dominant women and submissive men. A fine art fetish photographer, Ray photographs his deepest desires as evidenced by his new gallery show. He’s unemployed-they’re offering a lot of money for research subjects-he makes the decision to apply for the position. Has Ray bitten off more than he can chew? Once his clothes are off and he becomes little more than a laboratory rat in an experiment, will he wish he’d taken this particular decision a little more to heart before signing on the dotted line? The Melinoe Project, originally published by Renaissance E Books, is D. L. King’s first novel of intense female domination and male submission. This book is a work of erotic fiction and is both sexually explicit and graphic in nature. It depicts extreme fetishes and is for adults only.

Hello. This is my first visit. I hope I am doing this correctly.
My book is “The Month of Zephram Mondays. ” It is a middle grade children’s fantasy adventure novel.
Blurb: In the Kingdom of Zephram, everyone is magical – everyone except for the Royal Quadruplets: Tom, Lizzie, Ned and Nell. It’s tough to be different, even if you are a prince or a princess. And Tom, Lizzie, Ned and Nell are treated differently by everyone in the kingdom!
But when evil Prince Persius takes over the kingdom, it’s the non-magical Tom, Lizzie, Ned and Nell who are the only ones left to try and save the day. Through their funny and challenging adventures they and those around them come to a better appreciation of the children’s skills – and the big difference you can make by being different!

Todd, I posted my book, Friends in the Meadow-Birds, on Nov. 27th. When I posted it, the post was all together. I reviewed it today and found that is was split between my description and link information. One of the blue blocks is in between the two parts of my book’s post. Is there any way I can edit it so it will not confuse people. If they just read the first part, they will not have the tagging info they need to go tag it unless they happen to look under the next post in blue. Or do I just need to re-post it? Thanks for your help.

Erotic Tales Two
37,000+ words
This is a collection of two Erotica novelettes along with one of my favorite short stories. The first story titled Self Determination is about a woman who is questioning her marriage after many years with her husband. Lately she has been thinking of her high school sweetheart and the one night they shared after they graduated high school. It isn’t long before her thoughts turn into dreams, and soon she is calling old friends and getting his phone number. Follow each chapter as she gets closer to finding what she has been missing her adult life.
The second story titled Honeymoon follows a young couple as they begin their lives together. Follow them as they explore their growing love for each other, as well as their own sexual fantasies. While they decide to finally take their long overdue honeymoon together, their decision to take an RV trip across the country opens the doors to a whole new world for them.
The last story is Enduring Strength. This short story is about a young single mother trying to do her best to raise a family on her own. She does everything she can to put food on the table and get the rent paid on time each month. When her landlord raises her rent, she knows she will not make it without some help. That is when she meets the one man who will take her on a ride she was not expecting. As she is becoming his latest masterpiece on the canvas, he is becoming her one true love.

Hey everyone!
Just wanted to say I’ve been tagging on here for a year now, and I think I’ve managed to tag just about every submission (in the US-can’t tag UK.) I used to wait till the end of the month and do a massive tag session, but now I tag as I get each email notification – much easier. I encourage all to keep tagging, as it does generate traffic for us on Amazon.
And Happy Holidays to you!

Motherhood sometimes seems as though it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. Sleepless nights, baby fat, encrusted bits of spit up clinging to my clothes and hair…not exactly what I’d pictured it as being. Sometimes I wonder where the real Virginia went – the person I used to be before I was just someone’s wife or mother. Now I find out that a hot young girl is after my husband. Perfect. This is the life of a mother. It’s real, and it’s definitely nothing like a baby ad.

I submitted my book, Cry of My Heart, a couple of weeks ago and I’m wondering when I should see my book on the tag you’re it section. I have been tagging books. Maybe I’m not tagging enough? Do I need to re- submit my info? If anyone has an input or suggestion, that would be great. I don’t mean to be a pain, I’m just trying to figure it out. Thanks!
December 13, 2009 at 4:03 am
Joanne,
Even if it takes a while to get listed on the Tag You’re It page, we’re still tagging you. I checked and I had already tagged you and you have quite a few other tags too.
Many of us tag from THIS page (the Submit) page, not the Tag You’re It page – so it’s all good!
I think the reason that it takes a while to make it over to the other page is that Todd does this on his own time, and he doesn’t always have that much time. He always eventually catches up though.

Dandelions In The Garden
Amara Borbala is certain she is the only living person in the sane world with intimate knowledge concerning the life and exploits of the Countess Elizabeth Bathory. After all, she was Elizabeth’s companion and confidant since her eleventh year. In 1573, after the death of her mother, Amara is sent by her cousin to serve as a lady-in-waiting at the castles of Sarvar, Varanno, and Cachtice.
Now it is years later, 1628, and Amara is aging, alone, and reduced to eavesdropping at her favorite café around the corner from her townhouse in Vienna. Befuddled by gossiping ladies, Amara determines perhaps it is time to finally put a stop to the rumors and once and for all, answer the question, ‘Is it true?’ Did Elizabeth Bathory, a descendant of Vlad Tepes really commit the horrible acts of torture, bathe in the blood of slaughtered virgins, and dabble in the dark magic that she was accused of during her trial?
One thing is certain, Amara knows the truth, but will it be enough to explain the habits of her friend?
Dandelions In The Garden is book one in a two-part series that begins with the journey of Amara, an impressionable girl who follows the Blood Countess through all the horrid events, which lead to her rise and secure her place in history.

Hello all!! I wonder if I could submit my new Romantic Suspense novel, VICTORY COVE for your tagging consideration.
Megan Summers thought that she was safe in the remote coastal village of Victory Cove. For a year she hid in seclusion, preparing for the battle ahead by building her own target range and practicing adaptability in the darkened halls of Wakefield House. But, today a stranger appeared on her doorstep. Was he it? Was he her executioner?
For Jake Grogan, his trek to Victory Cove started out with a cryptic letter from a woman who after thirty-five years of silence identified herself as his mother. He was told to locate Wakefield House, the home of his grandmother. Jake found the sinister residence on the outermost crag of the ocean, but the woman who answered the door was not elderly. She was young, attractive, and looked like she would do about anything to get him off her doorstep.
Jake Grogan came to Victory Cove to discover his past. Megan Summers came to Victory Cove to escape hers. Inside Wakefield House their lives collide, and on the edge where land and sea meet, they wage a battle and struggle to survive the night.

The witch snapped her fingers and several torches along the wall shot out fire. Standing now in front of Vasilisa, the witch could as well have been a thousand years old. Her long twisted chin rested in the middle of her chest, her nose reached far away from her wrinkled face, blazing red eyes were half hidden under the bushy eyebrows and her skin was almost black from dirt and old age. Stinky gray hair stood straight up on her head, as if terrified of the owner. “Did you come to take a peek at the looking glass inside my cauldron? You may not like what you see.”

I have submitted my 6 books for tagging yesterday. How long before they are posted and where and when do I start tagging others?
December 17, 2009 at 5:04 pm
Svetlana, I think that posts with book links in them go into a separate inbox for Todd to release. That keeps spammers out of here. It shouldn’t be too long before your post shows up.
December 17, 2009 at 5:17 pm
Svetlana,
Don’t wait to start tagging because there are a lot of books to tag. Go to the “Tag You’re It” link and start going through the list. At the bottom you’ll see the archived lists, which shows you just how many books there are to tag.
When I started, I tagged something like 20 books each time I checked in here and pretty soon I had gone through all of the archives … so it’s an achievable goal.

“When I started, I tagged something like 20 books each time I checked in here and pretty soon I had gone through all of the archives … so it’s an achievable goal.”
Yes, it is achievable. It takes a few hours, but if everyone did it, every book would have 200+ tags. So tag, tag, tag!

“The Jewel of Medina”
Born Aisha bint Abi Bakr in seventh century Arabia, she would become the favorite wife of the Prophet Muhammad, and one of the most revered women in the Muslim faith. Married at the age of nine, The Jewel of Medina illuminates the difficult path Aisha confronted, from her youthful dreams of becoming a Bedouin warrior, to her life as the beloved wife and confident of the founder of Islam.
Extensively researched and elegantly crafted, The Jewel of Medina presents the beauty and harsh realities of life in an age long past, during a time of war, enlightenment, and upheaval. At once a love story, a history lesson, and a coming-of-age tale, The Jewel of Medina provides humanizing glimpses into the origins of the Islamic faith, and the nature of love, through the eyes of a truly unforgettable heroine.

“The Sword of Medina”
The much anticipated sequel to the international bestseller, The Jewel of Medina!
Before dying, Muhammad left his jeweled sword, al-Ma’thur, to A’isha, telling her to use it in the jihad to come. But what if the jihad is against her own people?
With the fate of her people at stake, A’isha will need to overcome the 20 years of bad blood between her and Muhammad’s nephew, Ali. Will their desire to preserve the future of their people and their faith unite them–or will their hatred of each other destroy everything Muhammad worked to build?
This climactic sequel to the controversial The Jewel of Medina returns to 7th century Arabia to discover whether, after fighting a civil war, a people can ever truly heal.

Julia,
Thanks for tagging! I got yours yesterday. Your book looks fascinating – - – what a good imagination you have!
December 17, 2009 at 11:49 pm
I was told recently that tagging a book more than once is not a good thing, that one tag cancels out the other. Yet some people want their books tagged more than once. Which is the right thing to do? Help!
Sharon
December 17, 2009 at 11:59 pm
That’s correct. If you check a tag box once, you’ve tagged the book. If you check the box again, you’ve untagged it, and the number of tags will go down by one.
In other words, you can’t tag a book more than once.
December 18, 2009 at 1:03 am
Thank you for information, I will go and start tagging!
December 18, 2009 at 1:22 am
Thanks, Jim. What if you check a different tag each time? Some people suggest three or four. Ex: science fiction, time travel, fantasy. Does the cancellation still hold true if you check all three?
Sharon
December 18, 2009 at 1:45 am
Sharon,
You can only check each tag once. So if you just checked three tags the first time you can certainly go back in later and check a few more tags for that book.
I just usually check them all the first time through.
December 18, 2009 at 1:54 am
Thanks, Lynn. That’s what I thought. I’ve started doing that lately because I’m having trouble keeping up. Guess I’ll keep doing it that way.
Thanks again,
Sharon

Heres the summary for Cry of My Heart. I’ve re-submitted it just in case you need it to replace the other, thanks!

A military science fiction/zombie novel where “post-Apocalyptic” really means what it says. Armageddon has come and gone on Earth and some say the Messiah reigns there in peace, but a last powerful opposing government refuses to give up its off-Earth holdings. The Revived Roman Empire sends one of its officers to suppress an uprising on Sybaris, a planet rich in an ore that provides interstellar travel.
Deadheads travel in what seem like organized bands, slaughtering the miners and engineers, and engaging in orgies of flesh-eating and even bizarre sexual behavior. An ex-Imperial Marine Forces Major, Cassius Marcus Ronald Crisp (Ron, for short), has his own plans for turning this crisis into an opportunity. For him, the answer to life-after-death lies not with a ruler he has trouble accepting on Old Earth, but on Sybaris.
In this story, zombies are close enough to being human to make them truly frightening. They are slow–unless “juiced up” by a recent kill. They may even make an effort to communicate with you–moments before they tear your head from your neck. And they can handle only rudimentary weapons–like kitchen knives, discarded machine parts, and axes…
The author turns a “what if?” scenario into an unusual sci-fi adventure: what if the End Times–and all it heralds in the Book of Revelation–does not occur until space travel and universe exploration are well underway? And, as one troubled reader asked, how could evil deadheads exist on Sybaris while the Messiah reigns on Earth? Find out on Resurrection Planet.

I would like to submit my book: Majnun Leyla: Poems about Passion.
Product Description
In the northern Arabian Peninsula during the second half of the 7th century, Qays, later known as Majnun, is in love with his cousin Leyla and decides to praise her in his love poems. Annoyed by all the noise around her, Leyla’s parents consider that he has compromised her honor and force her to marry another man. Qays becomes desperate and wanders alone in the desert. His father takes him to Mecca and begs him to seek God’s help to free him from his passion, but in vain.
The story of Majnun and Leyla has been told in legends, songs, poems, plays and epics from the Caucasus to Africa and from the Atlantic to the Indian Ocean. It is a story of a tragic and endless love, much like the later story of “Tristan and Isolde” and “Romeo and Julia” in Europe.
This volume consists of a translation into English of several of Majnün’s poems to Leyla together with comments and an introduction. An incurable romanticism, the deepest longing of the heart to its beloved, nostalgia, memories of a lost paradise, idealism, anticipation, joy after a reunion, bitterness after a separation, lovesickness and a consuming passion emerge from the versions that have inspired countless of people more that 1200 years ago and throughout the centuries.

Hello, writers! Here’s the information on my book. I’m ready to tag:
Musical Chairs
Jen Knox
Musical Chairs explores one family’s history of mental health diagnoses and searches to define the cusp between a ’90s working-class childhood and the trouble of adapting to a comfortable life in the suburbs. In order to understand her restlessness, Jennifer reflects on years of strip-dancing, alcoholism, and estrangement. Inspired by the least likely source, the family she left behind, Jennifer struggles towards reconciliation. This story is about identity, class, family ties, and the elusive nature of mental illness.

Ghostbread, Winner of the AWP Award for Memoir
“When you eat soup every night, thoughts of bread get you through.” Ghostbread makes real for us the shifting homes and unending hunger that shape the life of a girl growing up in poverty during the 1970s.
One of seven children brought up by a single mother, Sonja Livingston was raised in areas of western New York that remain relatively hidden from the rest of America. From an old farming town to an Indian reservation to a dead-end urban neighborhood, Livingston and her siblings follow their nonconformist mother from one ramshackle house to another on the perpetual search for something better.
Along the way, the young Sonja observes the harsh realities her family encounters, as well as small moments of transcendent beauty that somehow keep them going. While struggling to make sense of her world, Livingston perceives the stresses and patterns that keep children–girls in particular–trapped in the cycle of poverty.
Larger cultural experiences such as her love for Wonder Woman and Nancy Drew and her experiences with the Girl Scouts and Roman Catholicism inform this lyrical memoir. Livingston firmly eschews sentimentality, offering instead a meditation on what it means to hunger and showing that poverty can strengthen the spirit just as surely as it can grind it down.

Please add-
I Romanced the Stone (Memoirs of a Recovering Hippie)
Back Cover Blurb-
When you think of a crack-head, what kind of picture comes to mind? A stupid teenager, with little, or no education? A prostitute? A smack-talking, ghetto-born African-American? Or, maybe, a misfit Caucasion dropout, from a broken home, with an alcoholic, abusive, absentee father? Crack-heads are street-walking, panhandling, hustling, poorly dressed, teeth missing, gaunt, thin, useless, and dangerous looking kinds of people, that you’d never invite over to dinner, right?
Well, guess again, because the author of these memoirs is an educated, articulate and thoughtful, formerly successful family and businessman, a grandfather, who owns expensive suits, always knows how to appear well groomed, and knows which fork is used when, at the gourmet banquets of the upper middle class. “I Romanced the Stone” observes, discusses, and exposes fundamental tendencies of addiction in our society, and weaves these general themes throughout the personal story of the author’s journey. The reader comes to understand that drug addiction is not some exclusive disease of the poor, or the uneducated, or the social castaways of our world; it is an insatiable and insidious ghost, shadowing anyone, of any walk of life, from any economic or social environment. It can appear as a false god, “the good life”, and then devour you as “the grim reaper” is revealed bewilderingly to you, as your new slave master. The book tells how the author was rehabilitated, cured, and had his life and soul spared, through love and help from family, and most significantly, through a powerful spiritual experience. It is an inspiring, yet fearsomely awesome story, sending a message of hope, and advisement.

Back Cover Blurb-
Owen Fiddler wants to tell you his story. (Everyone sing along to the tune of the Beatles’ “Nowhere Man”) Has a selfish point of view, why he’s such a fool, no clue. Isn’t he a bit like me and you? Owen, man, please listen. You don’t know what you’re missing. Owen, man, your world is at your command!
He’s no role model for you or your kids, but reading his story will learn ya a thing or two, and that’s a fact. This is an entertaining, thought-provoking, humorous and spiritually insightful book which will surely have you thinking about your own life.
